Let’s be honest, Sunsets are magical. If you’re a sunset seeker, you know the feeling you get inside when time is shifting between day and night, when the fading of the sun below the horizon symbolizes the end of a narrative or maybe the beginning of something new.

October 2020

At this time last year, who would have thought that 2020 would challenge us to our core?

Forced schools and business closers, travel restrictions, masks, bubble families, Atlantic bubble, physical distancing, isolation, disinfection and so much more became the new normal with COVID-19. The notion that the park would not open crossed our minds, but we remained optimistic and ready.

In May, when news broke out that campgrounds would be allowed to open, under strict regulations, we were ecstatic! We knew what that meant for our valued guests, our team and our family.
Following this news, our team members put their heads together to get the park up and running safely. There were some challenges! But as in many difficult situations, our team rose up and focused on the positive aspects of the situation. Year 56, that’s what we were celebrating! Indeed, there were so many good things to focus on. For us, cleanliness and safety have always been our priority. We know that RV camping is one of the safest ways to travel amidst this pandemic.

Within two weeks, seasonal guests from NB were allowed to their site. In the meantime, we hired and trained staff all while adapting to ever changing government phases and requirements. Eventually, we were able to open our doors to overnight guests from NB, followed by our friends from the Atlantic bubble. Sadly, but for safety precautions, campers from outside the Atlantic bubble were not able to stay with us this summer. It will be our pleasure to greet them when the time comes and travel restrictions are lifted. This year with limited access to our administration building, we were not able to be as close to our guests as usual. We certainly missed the friendly faces and conversations with our guests in the office.

As we look back on summer 2020, there are so many things to be grateful for. The weather and the beach were awesome; camping and enjoying the outdoors, great food, good company... We certainly hope you enjoyed yourselves!

Heading towards Thanksgiving and the winter months, on behalf of our family, we would like to thank you for being our guest, for respecting the norms set up throughout the park and for your contribution in helping us keep everyone safe over the summer months. We are also extremely proud of our team members, their resilience and dedication over the summer. Together, we were able to maintain a safe environment.
Take good care of yourselves and your families. Hopefully, we will have the pleasure of hosting you in 2021 under different circumstances. On behalf of our family, thank you!
